Project Rules
In order to ensure quality time and tranquility in the village, we implement a set of rules and regulations with the purpose of offering our inhabitants the peace of mind of an organized living environment.
We understand the importance to our residents of spending time on personal relationships; family time is invaluable and our residents are able to accept visits from members of their family, including children anytime they want. Friends and family are free to stay with you sometimes in in your villa may make use of the shared facilities whilst in your company. It is important to remember while visitors are present that other residents are treated fairly and that they are able to enjoy the facilities of the village unaffected.. Normally there is a time limit for guests to visit the village in order to maintain the serenity of the community.
Application for residency is required from any visitor staying within the development for more than 8 hours in any one day or for more than 24 hours in any one week.
Non-residents, the resident’s families or relatives, cannot solely inhabit the properties in the Koh Samui Retirement Village under any circumstances. This also extends if the owner is traveling and the family wants to use the house for vacations or other purposes. It offers the residents the peace of mind and security of knowing that everybody in the community has the same degree of dedication to their lifestyle.
Properties are available to single ladies and couples ONLY. Should a resident be left widowed/single at any stage and should he/she find another partner, an “Application for residency” is required by the residents committee of the Koh Samui Retirement Village.
The resident is responsible for the upkeep of individual properties and any costs associated with this shall be borne by the owner of the property. Any damage to the property is the responsibility of the owner. However, all newly built properties are covered with a 10-year structural guarantee and a 2-year warranty.
The development and properties are to be operated by the developers agency solely.
The properties are to be offered exclusively through Koh Samui Retirement Village to people over 60 years of age.
Transfer of ownership, through death of the owner or after a maximum of 30 years is exclusively managed through Koh Samui Retirement Village. The Koh Samui Retirement Village Residents Committee may accept a “Application for Residency” made by the resident before any approval is issued if a resident is left widowed / single at any stage and if he / she finds another partner.
